Transcripts
Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are issued upon a student's request of the Registrar's Office. The paper request
must be signed by the student in order to release the transcript. If the request is made online through
Banner (our student information system), the request is signed by the validation of the student's PIN
number. Official transcripts cannot be faxed to a recipient.
Transcripts mailed to recipients within the USA are free (up to 3 per
request per day). A fee of $10 will be charged per transcript issued on a walk-in basis. Please
allow at least 2 working days for transcript requests to be processed.
Transcript Request via Form
Transcript request forms are available in the Registrars Office or from the following site.

Please provide the following information in your written or faxed request:
- Name(s) used while attending NGCSU
- Student Identification Number
- Date of Birth
- Dates of Attendance
- Name and address to whom transcript should be mailed
- Signature
- Daytime telephone number
- Email address

NOTE: Students who submit a transcript request and who have an unmet financial obligation to NGCSU
(listed as one or more holds) will have 30 days to resolve this hold. If the obligation is not resolved in 30
calendar days the original request will be destroyed. The student must then submit another request once the hold is resolved.
If the Registrar's office is unable to identify a student or process a transcript request for a student due to omitted
or incomplete information (including the student's signature), the student will have 7 calendar days to resolve the issue. If
the issue is not resolved in 7 days the original request will be destroyed and the student must submit another request.
Transcript Request via Banner
Students who have online access to Banner may submit a transcript request electronically. Once
you login to the system, follow these links:

- Request a Printed transcript
WARNING: The online transcript request asks twice what type of transcript is needed.
You must be consistent on ALL screens when selecting your transcript type. To request
an official transcript, be sure to select official from the drop/down box and also select the
'official copy' radio button. Mismatched requests will not be processed.
Transcript requests marked Hold for Grades will be processed only at the end of
the semester after grade processing is complete. Requests marked Hold for Degree will
be processed only after degrees have been awarded to the student at graduation.

Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts may be requested in the same way as official transcripts. You may submit
a paper form or an electronic request as described above and indicate that
an unofficial copy is needed.
Current NGCSU students may also view unofficial transcripts online via Banner by following these
instructions.
