2010 Appalachian Studies Association Conference
Please mark your calendars now: the Appalachian Studies Association Conference is coming to NGCSU in March 2010! (March 19-21). The theme will be Engaging Communities.
This conference is unusual in that it invites community members, community organizers, social justice activists, students, and academics to participate in its activities and presentations. In addition to presentations, the conference will provide opportunities for attendees to listen to music, dance, buy art, share information, and break bread together. Attendance is typically between 600-800 (depending on the weather and location of the conference). If you are interested in assisting with the production of the conference, have questions or concerns, please contact Donna Gessell or Alice Sampson.
Call for proposals for the 2009 Conference will be posted by September 1, 2009
