How To Help



  • Inform others of the spread of the hemlock woolly adelgid and the impacts it has on the trees and the ecosystem in general. Be aware of infested hemlocks and avoid spreading this invasive species.

  • Attend Hemlock Fest 2009 where all proceeds go towards saving the hemlock trees.



  • Donations to the Predator Beetle Labs

  • NGCSU and Young Harris

    Other Ways to Help Out:
  • Visit the Parks. Park fees are used to maintain the parks including treating hemlock trees.


  • Georgia Department of Natural Resources has played a huge role in treating hemlock trees and spreading information.

  • Become a Friend of Georgia State Parks and Historical Sites

  • Contact other organizations such as Lumpkin Coalition, Trout Unlimited, Sierra Club, Georgia Forest Watch, etc. and see what their efforts are in saving the hemlocks.
