Recycling becomes a community affair at NGCSU

DAHLONEGA (Sept. 4, 2008) - Gone are the days of the 5-cent refunds for glass
bottles that motivated consumers to stockpile their garages with empty containers. Glass is
now saved alongside plastic bottles, cardboard boxes and empty cans, a growing trend in today's
environment-friendly society that shows a new sense of responsibility in local communities to
recycle and reduce consumption of resources. North Georgia College & State University
faculty and students are leading several initiatives this semester to make the university
one of those communities.
