The Center for Global Engagement is NGCSU’s connection
to the global world. The CGE is home to both
International Student and Study Abroad Services. Each
sector operates with the focus of providing
international
learning opportunities to North Georgia students who
desire to enhance their cross-cultural perspectives and
global understanding. Our staff is here to serve YOU, so

Welcome from the Director
Welcome to the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) at
North Georgia College and State University! As
globalization increasingly becomes part of our daily
nomenclature, NGCSU believes it is important to prepare
students to engage in solving global problems. With 26
foreign countries represented on campus, and an average
of 30 study abroad opportunities each year, NGCSU
strongly believes in investing its future in global
learning. Through cultural immersion, students will
become the ethical and global stewards of our world
system. Study abroad will allow them to engage in the
broader world, and explore the social, cultural, and
economic divisions that will challenge them in the 21st
century.
Not only are we invested in sending our students out
into the world, but another large goal of the CGE is to
bring foreign students here and diversify our campus.
These students are a vital part of the Center and it is
both our job and privilege to expand their knowledge of
Dahlonega and the surrounding community.
Here at the CGE, our staff is committed to broadening
your educational experience. The diversified programs
offered at NGCSU offer students the ability to integrate
classroom knowledge with their experiences overseas. The
International
Initiatives section of our website outlines our
efforts to create educated global citizens through
activities both at home and abroad. Therefore, I encourage you to browse the NEW CGE
