I will be attending a different college or university this summer

A NGCSU student who will be taking classes at another institution this summer, must first request transient permission from the registrar's office. The only financial aid the student may be eligible for at the other instituion is the Hope scholarship (if applicable). Once the registrar's office has approved the transient application, the financial aid office at NGCSU will send the Hope eligibility information to the other institution. It is possible the other institution may not receive the eligibility information before their bill is due, so students who are Hope eligible should be prepared to pay the bill at the other institution and be reimbursed by the other institution when all the records have been received.

A student may find more information or request transient permission by logging on to Banner and choosing "transient request" under the "student tab".

A student who is attending NGCSU at least half time during the summer as well as taking transient courses at another instituion may be eligible for financial aid at NGCSU due to the half time or more status. In this case, the student would apply for transient permission as well as complete the summmer form for NGCSU.
