Staff Council plans White Christmas Breakfast
The university's Staff Council and Community Helping Place need your help making Christmas brighter for families in need. The 11th annual White Christmas Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3, 7-8:30 a.m., in the dining hall, where faculty and staff will bring donations for this worthy program.

hosts International Education Week


Photo of NGCSU student Justin Beverly, who studied in Morocco.North Georgia's campus will take on an international flavor Nov. 16-20, as the university's Center for Global Engagement sponsors activities to heighten awareness of the campus' diverse cultural community and study abroad opportunities. The Center for Global Engagement is participating in International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, with the goal of providing opportunities for students become more prepared global citizens. 

University's Orchestra invites community to fall concert

Photo of North Georgia College & State University OrchestraThe North Georgia College & State University Orchestra will present a fall concert on Friday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m., in the Hoag Auditorium, located on the university's campus in Dahlonega. The program features two time-honored classics along with a relatively unknown gem of the orchestral repertoire, according to Dr. Joe Chapman, music professor and the orchestra's conductor. The concert opens with Gioacchino Rossini's Overture to The Barber of Seville.
