Application Form        Reference Form

 

One application for each scholarship you are applying and attach the following to each application:


1)  A 500 word essay (approximately) indicating why you are deserving of this scholarship with a statement concerning your academic qualifications, economic hardship, and present level of financial support. You may copy for each application. For research support, discuss your project.


2) A confidential reference form from one faculty in your content area. Have the faculty place the form in an envelope, seal it, and sign the back flap and return to you to hand in with the application.

Financial Aid will notify the recipients.

The recipients will have the opportunity to attend a 'thank you' letter writing party and a luncheon to meet their donor.

HOW TO APPLY
Colleges and universities nominate students for Goldwater Scholarships. Information may be obtained from the Goldwater Scholarship Faculty Representative:

The Foundation will award undergraduate scholarships to outstanding students in the spring of 2009 for use during the 2009–2010 academic year. The awards will be made on the basis of merit to two groups of students—those who will be college juniors and those who will be college seniors in the 2009–2010 academic year—who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.
