Areas A-E of the core are no different for
Teacher Education students than they are for students in other
programs, except that middle grades math and science students
must follow the area A and D requirements for mathematics and
science. The
undergraduate bulletin outlines requirements and acceptable courses for
those areas.
Area B of the Core Curriculum consists of a required leadership course, Psyc 1001 Foundations of Leadership, and a foreign language course at the 1002 level. Students who decide to take a foreign language 1001 course in preparation for the 1002 course may count the three credit hours earned in the 1001 course in Area F (if there is room).
