NGCSU commissions 13 into U.S. Army

Dahlonega, Ga. (Dec. 17, 2008) - Thirteen students from North Georgia College & State University commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army on Dec. 13 during a ceremony where they also received their college degrees from the university.
North Georgia College & State University is a public, co-educational, liberal arts university, as well as the Military College of Georgia - one of only six senior military colleges in the nation. The university, founded in 1873 in Dahlonega , GA , enrolls more than 5,000 students and offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a wide range of academic and professional fields.
