You can use the pay and benefits to pay your way through school!!

Training In The Army Reserve

There are a wide range of training opportunities available such as airborne training, military police, medical, and much more.

The Georgia Mountain Detachment

There are more than 700 cadets at North Georgia, and many of them serve as soldiers in the Army Reserve while attending school.
reserve
North Georgia is the only university to have an Army Reserve Detachment on its campus.

Conducting Reserve training on campus lets the student-soldier become familiar with other job specialties in the Army Reserve through their peers, and to become more proficient leaders, developing the best future officers for the Regular Army or the Army Reserve.

Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP)

reserveThe ROTC/SMP allows you to be a full-time college student working toward a bachelors degree and participating in both the Army Reserve and in the ROTC program. An officer cadet in the SMP will be paid at the grade of Sergeant (E-5) and earn more than $240 a month during the school year while training one weekend a month with the Army Reserve. A SMP cadet will also receive a stipend of $350 as a sophomore, $450 as a junior, and $500 as a senior.
