Online Learning at North Georgia

An increasing number of opportunities for students to learn in an online environment are expanding the boundaries of the traditional classroom at North Georgia through the use of GeorgiaVIEW Vista.

Vista, an online courseware system, is used to develop and administer Web-based classes. Faculty may choose to use it to deliver fully online courses or as a technology-enriched supplement for their face-to-face instruction by posting course materials, tracking student progress using assessment tools and adding multimedia content. Vista is currently being used by North Georgia faculty in a wide range of disciplines, with the highest number of total class sections reported in the areas of psychology, nursing, history and computer science. 

Together, the Division of IIT and the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence, work with faculty to enhance teaching and learning through an online experience.
