The Web Redefined.
The IIT Web Services Group supports faculty, staff, and students for
multiple web-enabled services. This team of three maintains our campus
web presence, apache.northgeorgia.edu, as well as a number of other servers
for specific web projects, like wikis and database projects. In addition,
Web Services administers the campus Learning Management
System, GeorgiaVIEW Vista. Vista is a web tool that gives faculty the
ability to develop online courses for students. GeorgiaVIEW Vista has
seen a tremendous growth in online course activity within the past
year with over 40% of our total courses utilizing Vista for online delivery.
Working closely with other members of IIT, the Web Services Group
oversees multiple projects and tasks. The two most prominent projects
for Web Services are the migration of our current web site to
Ektron, a content management system, and the migration to Vista 8
for Fall 2009. If you have any suggestions or special needs, please feel
