General Information
Physical Therapy
education exists on two distinct levels:
entry-level education is designed to educate individuals
to become physical therapists; post-professional
education is designed to further enhance the knowledge
and skills of practicing physical therapists.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy consortial arrangement
among North Georgia College & State University,
Armstrong Atlantic State University, and Medical College
of Georgia is currently undergoing a dissolution.
Application processes for the classes entering in 2010
will be handled separately at the individual
institutions. Applicants should contact each
institution for admissions and accreditation
information.
The three-year professional program includes clinical
education (36 weeks) and research. General
information on physical therapy as a professional career
may be obtained from the
American Physical Therapy Association. |
