The NGCSU School of Education consists of two departments, Teacher Education and Health & Physical Education. To be eligible to receive the initial four-year teaching certificate in Georgia, a student must complete a bachelor's degree or alternative certification program designed to meet the needs of teachers in a specific teaching field and be recommended by the institution whose program has been completed.

The School of Education offers a variety of Scholarships and Awards for students in all undergraduate and graduate programs within the School.
