“Spending summer abroad in Spain was one of my best decisions. It provided me with an opportunity to practice Spanish in native environment and to experience the culture myself. All of a sudden, all the images and information from the text books came alive. You can see Alhambra in a book and read as much as you want about it, but it is not the same as seeing the place yourself.  Making friends, going to fiestas, taking classes, and spending time with your host family are experiences you will remember forever. Things change and we grow older, but memories never fade. Spain is one of those memories, and I loved every minute of my foreign study abroad!”

"Studying abroad in Spain made me realize an entirely different world and culture existed outside the United States that cannot be understood without seeing it firsthand. I have a new appreciation for different cultures after living in a different country for six weeks. I would recommend this trip to anyone."

"The visit to Santander was incredible! It is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. Going to Spain really helped my Spanish speaking skills because it put me in an environment where I was forced to speak Spanish, but all the while it was a very comfortable atmosphere."

"The study abroad Spain experience was a great one. The only real way to learn a language is through immersing yourself in the culture. I met some great new friends that I will be friends with the rest of my life, and I came to have a greater appreciation for my culture as well as the Spanish culture."

- Ashley Gilstrap

"The trip to Spain was probably the best experience I've ever had.  I learned a lot and had a good time.  Spain is the coolest, most laid-back country."

- Christy Christmas

I had a great opportunity to go experience the Spanish culture first-hand. The immersion in the Spanish language was the key for me. It added to my learning of the language, history, and customs. This program helped me to improve and reinforce what I was learning in my classes. As a result of this trip, I have gained a greater appreciation for the Spanish language, made new friends, and have grown as a person.
Also, my host families were so warm and inviting. They made me feel right at home in
Spain. These host families will always be included in the many memories of my trip.
