Quebec Summer Program 2010                              Brief History of the Québécois  "Je me souviens"
Laval University, Quebec City, Canada
Six Weeks - Estimated Inclusive Price of $4,200  + tuition*

Since 1982 the Department of Modern Languages at North Georgia College and State University has offered students a six-week French language summer program through the École des langues of the Université Laval in Quebec City.  Laval is a French-speaking campus of approximately 35,000 studetns.  Our students take 6 to 9 semester hours of courses and are normally housed in a private Quebecois residence.  Numerous excursions and social and cultural activities are included in the package price (see below).  Graduate credit is also offered. Students from other institutions may arrange for transfer credit from North Georgia College and State University to their own university in advance.  The program runs from late June through early August.  The program is designed to provide a supportive environment, thereby helping participants improve their spoken French while learning about Québécois history, society and culture.  We will be happy to place those interested in the program in contact with students who have already participated.  The HOPE scholarship applies, as does most other financial aid.  Dedication to speaking French is required!
