My Teaching Philosophy
I teach my students all I know in that subject, which will make them knowledgeable, and widen their mental horizon. My idea of teaching any course material is to make it as much interesting and current as is possible within the time and money constraint. I don’t teach so that the student only memorizes it for the Quiz/Test, but he or she understands the basic concepts and can recollect and utilize the knowledge gained in later life.
I enhance my teaching with constant research, attending conferences, presentation, reading latest technical publications, and books. I use more than one book to supplement the resources for most of the courses that I have taught, or may be asked to teach in future. I make my own Tests, Quizzes, Projects and Assignments, in addition to any resources made available by the authors, if any.
I use my spare time to think about my courses that I am teaching or would like to teach in future, and save resources that I may come while reading a magazine, newspaper or on-line or in any formal or informal gatherings, and use it as and when appropriate. I want my students to get the best from my rich and varied experiences and faculty of mind. In doing this I try my best to develop logical thinking and problem solving skill that may become useful in their later life.
For me teaching and learning is a life-long process, and needs a dedicated commitment. I think I am doing my best to impart the best possible knowledge, without any prejudice on the basis of age, sex, origin, color, religion, belief or any other kind of discrimination.
